They choose to make the foolish decision to travel almost a thousand miles on a lead to find Joel, someone who is likely dead or moved on, and yet everything works out better than expected. The issue here is that it’s incongruent to the world building we have seen in the franchise so far, and the narrative never punishes them for it. ![]() They are so comfy and safe that they are at war against another local community over land, a community that fights using literal sticks and stones. Something I don’t see people talk about is how easy they all have it, as well as how ungrateful they are.Ībby and friends all live at the WLF, which is easily the most well off community ever seen in the universe of TLOU. I want to mostly talk about fresh stuff in this post, since so much has already been said. Replaying the game with a fresh outlook made me realise how truly unlikeable and awful they are. I just thought they were boring, but didn’t hate them. ![]() Before playing, I thought about the game a bit and found it hard to hate Abby and her friends. Not because I enjoyed it the first time, but because I find it an important case study on what not to do and believe that by looking at the bad aspects of the game I can improve my own writing. ![]() I recently decided to pick this game up and give it a go again.
